Magnesium

The mineral salts of magnesium have many different functions in the body. The body cannot produce magnesium itself. For this reason, the intake of magnesium through food, high quality food supplements or medicines is of essential importance in order to prevent any deficiency and associated disturbances in growth. The German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends a magnesium intake of 300 to 400 mg per day for adolescents and adults1.

Magnesium contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to electrolyte balance. Moreover, magnesium supports a normal mental function, the function of the nervous system, the muscle function, the protein synthesis and the energy metabolism. Magnesium also plays a role in the preservation of healthy bones and teeth.

Magnesium can be administered in the form of tablets, effervescent tablets, drink granules, direct granules, powders, capsules, coated tablets and injection solutions.

Our products meet the requirements of the standard pharmacopeias (EP, USP, DAB, DAC) and/or conditions imposed by food law (E number, FCC) and are available in different grades, particle size distributions and bulk densities.
